UNESCO in the Greek Elections???
Τhe cities of Nikea and Koridallos, have been filled up these days with the cheap publicity papers, that throw the people who call themselves “saviors of Greece” …
In top of them, of course is Mr Giannis Maronitis, President of Unesco Club of Pireus and part of the Council of the World Federation of UNESCO.
The moment that the half of our Culture (natural and historical) is on fire, Mr Maronitis keep soiling the streets with his face and his personal believes.
What can we answer to the people that ask us if UNESCO is a “Partit” or “a good way that leads to the Parliament”?
What can we say, when Saturday evening during the holocaust of Olympia, the air in Nikea brought ashes from the burning trees and millions of paper with the photo of Mr Maronitis saying that he belongs to UNESCO?
What kind of “Movement for the Peace” he represents if he is against the 70% of the Greek population that don’t vote for his Partit?
Who gave him the right to use UNESCO who is against political diversities?
And who told him, that can represent us, the other people of UNESCO, witch are volunteers?
Why he didn’t use all this money for the people who now suffers from the fires?
And finally, who is gone to clean up our doors and our streets? You, Mr Maronitis?
If so, take a broom and came to clean quick, because there is a great danger for the old people to slip on your publicities, and if so, the only responsible is you !
Good luck for your personal objectives, but please, leave UNESCO alone ! If you don’t win, if you come last, as the last time, all the people here shall think that UNESCO is not good enough !
Finally we would like to thank the National Committee and the President of the Greek Federation for the direct reaction against the “shop” that Mr Maronitis created in our city, in witch, people of him, used to receive money for various “cultural” trips that he made during last year and the Prefect of Pireus who send us a letter confirming that he and the Prefecture have nothing to do with the activities of this gentleman.
